Job Description
What youll be doing:
- Working on an advanced complex technical project requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge.
- Analyzing large and complex datasets to identify business trends patterns problems and
- Interpreting results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
- Developing and implementing machine learning models and
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Designing developing and implementing the most valuable business solutions for the
- Preparing big data implementing data models and developing database(s) to support business
- Using data analytics and Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (Al/ML) to recommend support for business needs.
- Communicating findings and insights to both technical and non-technical
- Designing and maintaining data pipelines and
- Performing data wrangling cleansing and preprocessing to ensure data
- Working with project team members subject matter experts and senior
What youll need:
- Masters degree in computer science information systems technology or related
- 10 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar
- US Citizenship (required by federal government).
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python R and
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power Bl or similar
- Familiarity with cloud platforms; most specifically Microsoft
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling
- Experiencewith data wrangling cleansing and metadata
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration
- Ability to translate technical findings into business
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT
- Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced
- Ability to thoroughly pay attention to details when performing and reviewing
- Ability to work with clients and customers to assess their needs provide information or assistance resolve their problems and satisfy their expectations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint Teams and Visio).
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience with Big Data
- Familiarity with containerization and DevOps
- Experience with ETL tools and data
- Working understanding of Federal IT services models and frameworks to support the project team to meet client requirements.
- Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills including editing and
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support.
