Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Taxation seeks an efficient and effective professional to serve as the Planning Coordinator in the Office of Customer & Taxpayer Services. This role will supervise staff forms analysts and manage agency projects focused on legislative implementation activities and forms development using collaborative processes that incorporate stakeholder input legislative changes systems requirements and process improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Legislative Implementation and works collaboratively with staff throughout the agency in support of legislative forms changes and implementation activities
As the Planning Coordinator you will conduct activities such as
Develop project plans and coordinate schedules to support legislative mandates
Monitor agency legislative implementation plan for annual forms and system changes and follow up on outstanding items for updates and issue/risk reporting
Develop work plans/assignments for forms and instructions to ensure timely delivery for publication system updates and 3rd party tax software development activities
Maintain a master list of required annual changes and critical dates
Oversee the forms review approval and publication processes ensuring documentation is maintained to reflect input received and resolution steps taken
The position is located at our Main Street Center location in Richmond Virginia.
The schedule is hybrid with 3 days in office (Tuesday Wednesday Thursday) and 2 telework days on Monday and Friday.
The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $90000

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in project management and/or work plan development
Experience analyzing business processes and workflows to implement improvements and resolve complex issues
Experience working collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders
Supervisory experience and experience with employee performance management
Additional Considerations
Experience in coordinating activities between different organizational areas or teams to accomplish goals
Experience establishing or ensuring compliance with policies and/or procedures
Experience in records management for projects decision making processes or approval processes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
