Job Description

Revenue and Tuition Coordinator

Position Summary
The Revenue and Tuition Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming payments ensuring accuracy in collections maintaining financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role plays a key part in cash flow management and customer account reconciliation.

The Revenue and Tuition Coordinator is responsible for ensuring funds are properly collected and deposited ensuring that all tuition is properly collected from families and recorded in the tuition management system. The Revenue and Tuition Coordinator works closely and collaboratively with the tuition management system administrators to create and maintain student/family tuition accounts and serves as point of contact for parents who have tuition-related questions or issues.

The Revenue and Tuition Coordinator reports to the Accounting Manager and is a full-time twelve-month position. It can be expected that this position will work additional hours as needed including evenings and weekends to support school needs. This is especially true during the months of August through May.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; bachelors degree preferred.
At least 3 years experience in accounts receivable not for profit preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software Blackbaud system experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality given the nature of the position.
Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate information and respond to inquiries.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Records cash and check deposits to the general ledger
Fulfill cash requests for teams/activities (i.e. establish banks) and credit card handheld machine set up for events on and off campus as needed.
Reconcile desk and closet safes with Accounting Manager
Print weekly batch report to reconcile and balance online payments and donations balance monthly bank statement.
Coordinate new student enrollment with the tuition management system/set up account information.
Communicate with parents about tuition account status establish and manage payment plans and collect delinquent payments.
Input and maintain proper billing for tuition and fees elective courses textbooks and miscellaneous extra-curricular fees through the tuition management system.
Track daily credit card slips from manual or handheld credit card devices for balancing monthly bank statement and post to general ledger.
Monitor all online monthly credit card payments through Edlio to download for monthly balance of bank statement and post to general ledger.
Print monthly reports from the tuition management system to verify and download entry to the general ledger.
Manage all outside financial aid partnerships and apply payments to tuition accounts.
Provide data and reports to other departments as needed including Athletics Transportation Admissions etc.
Review and report weekly to the CFO a tuition account status including payment plans.
Respond to parents inquiries and needs regarding tuition payments.
Deposit non-tuition revenue and record to general ledger.

Perform other duties as assigned.
