Job Description
Full-time Onsite:
Due to the need for consistent in-person collaboration and the hands-on nature of this role all work will be performed 100% onsite at a BAE Systems facility.
This is a 1st shift position on a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday). The primary responsibility of this role is operating an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machine with experience in SMT operations preferred.
Surface Mount Technology (SMT): Hands-on experience operating and/or programming SMT equipment performing inspections and reworking surface mount components.
Through-Hole (Wave Solder) Assembly: Familiarity with wave soldering processes including setup operation and maintenance of soldering equipment.
Conformal Coating: Application of conformal coat materials to circuit boards using manual or automated methods; knowledge of masking inspection and curing processes.
Wiring to Circuit Cards: Experience with precise hand soldering and wire routing to printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) with strong attention to J-STD workmanship standards.
Operate SMT machines to assemble circuit card assemblies (CCAs) efficiently and accurately.
Assemble electronic components subassemblies kits and modules following written instructions wiring lists diagrams and process sheets.
Perform mechanical and electrical assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques.
Conduct soldering and inspection in accordance with certification requirements.
Verify and inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards performing rework as necessary.
Use appropriate tooling and machinery as provided.
Cross-train in other assembly processes to enhance team flexibility and skill development.
Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Education Experience & Skills
Circuit Card Manufacturing or SMT (Surface Mount) Exp.
Ability to read and interpret assembly documentation and a commitment to quality and process improvement.
Preferred Education Experience & Skills
High School diploma or GED
SMT assembly and setup experience
Experience in circuit card manufacturing
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $37295 - $59672
