Job Description
Job Title Assembler II
Duration - 6 months
Shift Mon to Fri (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Location Thomasville Georgia 31792
Summary:
- Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.
Responsibilities:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
- Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly/test instructions e.g. color code PVC thermal welding and thread taping.
- Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP) if applicable to site. Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
