You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Garvan Institute has a strong history of basic science and translational immunology research supported by state-of-the-art imaging gene-editing genomic and data science technology is located in the St Vincents Health Innovation Precinct and has a strong collaborative relationship with the Clinical Immunologists and clinicians at St Vincents Hospital providing a fast-track to both access critical unique cohorts and human tissue samples and also to perform investigator-initiated clinical studies and trials.
The current major focus of the Immunology Programs is to discover the fundamental control mechanisms that regulate immune responses in immunity autoimmunity allergy and cancer and to develop the next-generation of precision biotherapies to target them to treat and prevent disease.
The Garvan Institute invites applicants for Faculty-level positions in the Immune Biotherapies and Precision Immunology Programs. The applicant will have a clear research program that aims to solve fundamental questions in immunology with incisive state-of-the-art tools and techniques. They will have demonstrated an aptitude for independent creative thinking and a strong track record relative to opportunity and career stage of high quality scientific output.
