You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West Great South Upper wheatbelt and Peel Regions of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of Services including: GP Clinics Primary Health Care Counselling NDIS and community host various programs. SWAMS has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.
The SWAMS is dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This position is designated under Section 50 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) and as such only Aboriginal people are eligible to apply.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic member of the local Aboriginal community to join our Community Services team as an Administration Officer Trainee. This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential administrative skills while working alongside an experienced administrator.
This role will primarily be responsible for a broad range of administrative services to the Community Services Directorate particular in Aged Care and Allied Health to support its goals and objectives. A requirement of this role would be to complete your Certificate III in Business through Bunbury TAFE. This will require attending lectures during work hours and completing study requirements to gain a certification. The cost of this qualification will be covered by SWAMS.
