This role involves performing routine audits to ensure compliance with all operational and safety standards as well as conducting both corrective and preventive maintenance on key systems such as HVAC electrical gas life safety and security to ensure continuous and efficient performance. The individual is responsible for proactively identifying and requesting the necessary tools equipment and supplies to support daily operations. They also maintain accurate and timely records reports and other documentation related to the work performed. In addition the role requires performing general trades work as needed throughout the facility and maintaining current knowledge of applicable operational and safety regulations and standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and bring experience in TIG welding and millwright work with additional expertise in electrical systems considered an asset. Familiarity with PLCs VFDs and motor controls is also beneficial. The candidate should possess strong skills in mechanical diagnosis repair and fabrication with the ability to analyze and determine the cause of equipment malfunctions. Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is a plus along with the ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly. Proficiency in basic computer systems including MS Office Google Sheets Docs Drive and inventory/sales platforms like Canopy is required. Strong communication skills are essential as is the ability to foster an inclusive trust-based team environment while maintaining high levels of customer service. A solid understanding of workplace safety food safety and proper lifting and handling procedures is also expected.
