Essential Criteria
Were looking for someone who has:
- A Level 3 qualification in Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English
- Excellent subject knowledge - including knowledge of fluid power hydraulics and maintaining pressurised systems
- Relevant and demonstratableIndustry experience
- A strong track record (or potential) in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
- The ability to motivate and manage learners in a positive and inclusive environment
- Teaching experience/qualification is desirable but not essential - a internal support programme ensures a smooth transition from industry to the classroom for those without.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and innovative teaching across a range of Mechanical Engineering programmes
- Act as aLecturer supporting a caseload of full-time and/or part-time students
- Embed Maths English and digital skills into lessons to enhance learner outcomes
- Develop strong links with industry to enrich the curriculum and support student progression
- Contribute to curriculum development quality assurance and student recruitment activities

This vacancy is ringfenced into the current Engineering Team.
