Payroll Administrator

Finance Manager



Depot Podington Northamptonshire

THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliablePayroll Administratorto join our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring our weekly and monthly payroll processes run smoothly accurately and on timesupporting our field operatives and office staff alike.

Youll work closely with management HR and operational teams to verify timesheet data manage payroll records and maintain up-to-date employee information across systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in getting the details right wed love to hear from you.

A typical week might involve

  • Process weekly timesheets for operatives and monthly payroll ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Track and verify timesheets ensuring job numbers and submission of all associated documentation.
  • Collate timesheet information for management approval follow up on approvals and communicate discrepancies to relevant personnel.
  • Attend weekly programme meetings to discuss payroll related matters.
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires terminations and change in employee status.
  • Set up new employees on Sage 50 payroll sharepoint and the pension portal remove leavers when required.
  • Update the HR platform with absences and holidays if missed.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.

apply if You are

  • Have previous experience in a similar payroll administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 payroll is desirable.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details ensuring payroll is processed without errors.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal to liaise effectively with employees HR and management.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
