Description
The Operations Technician supports daily operational functions including transportation shipping/receiving and on-site facilities support. This role is essential to ensuring smooth logistics and responsive service across multiple areas. The technician is expected to manage tasks independently and reliably throughout the day.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and strong time management skills. The Technician must be comfortable shifting between transportation duties facilities requests and event support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support shipping and receiving operations including handling packages and coordinating deliveries
- Assist with event setup and teardown as part of operational support
- Provide morning and afternoon Caltrain shuttle service for staff and students
- Respond to and resolve assigned facilities tickets and requests
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of support tasks
- Maintain clear communication and documentation of daily activities
- Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols at all times
- Perform other related duties as needed to support overall operations
Requirements:
- Ability to work a split shift schedule (7:00 AM 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM 6:00 PM)
- Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record that must be maintained clean at all times
- Regular attendance and physical presence at the job.
- Ability to lift and carry packages and equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to walk stand and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Pay range:
In the spirit of pay transparency we share the base salary range for this position for the 2025-2026 academic year. The full pay range which encompasses all experience levels is $25.00 - 40.00 per hour. Within this broad range we pay in accordance with what could be reasonably expected based on an individuals experience level. Base salary is exclusive of fringe benefits retirement plan employer contributions or potential stipends (for eligible employees). Pay ranges at Menlo are reasonable estimates of what the School anticipates paying for a role but are not guaranteed. If hired at Menlo School your final base salary will be determined by factors such as skills education experience job level part-time status and number of months of work per academic year. In addition to those factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity with our current employees as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the generous range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical for Menlo School in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
