As a Senior Investigator in Westpacs Group Investigations team youll lead complex and sensitive investigations into serious staff misconduct and whistleblower disclosures. Your work will directly influence how the bank manages conduct risk strengthens internal controls and protects its people and reputation.

Youll collaborate with legal HR and compliance teams to uncover facts assess risk and drive strategic improvements. This role is based inSydney or Melbourneand sits within the Enterprise Compliance Risk Team reporting to the Executive Manager Group Investigations.

What do I need
To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • Investigative expertise: Proven experience leading misconduct investigations ideally in law enforcement regulatory HR legal or financial services settings.
  • Evidence and analysis skills: Strong ability to gather assess and present evidence including financial and digital records with attention to legal standards and procedural fairness.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to identify systemic risks and process gaps and contribute to strategic planning and conduct risk management across the Group.
  • Stakeholder influence: Skilled at engaging with senior leaders legal advisors and compliance teams to provide clear actionable insights and updates.
  • Integrity and empathy: High ethical standards discretion and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive matters and supporting affected individuals.
