Job Summary
Performs installations and services for manual and motorized interior and exterior shades and awnings. Project a confident friendly and positive attitude at all times to represent Polar Shades in a professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Environment:
You must be comfortable working outdoors. This job requires you to work outdoors in variable weather conditions for extended lengths of time most notably the heat. You will occasionally be required to work indoors when installing interior shades.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday occasionally a Saturday or Sunday. Starting clock in time is 7:00am. We try to have you finished no later than 4:30 but due to unforeseen conditions with these types of installation we cannot guarantee what time you will be done at the end of the day. You must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing manual and motorized retractable screens in both exterior and interior environments in both residential and commercial environments.
- You must own and maintain personal tool belt equipped with all tools needed to perform job duties.
- Able to drive the company provided vehicle. Must maintain a clean driving record and valid drivers license while employed at Polar.
- Operate the installation equipment including all power tools needed for installation. This includes but is not limited to reciprocating saw and drill.
- Must be able to perform basic electrical work as required for installation of motorized shade products.
- Ability to lift and hold 75 lbs. while on a ladder.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to measure product and installation area.
- Responsible for loading work truck daily with the materials parts and tools needed to complete the installation and repairs scheduled for the day.
- Represents knowledge of Polar products to respond to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic and professional manner.
- Installs repairs diagnoses and troubleshoots in accordance with company guidelines and policy.
- Wear company provided uniform and safety equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Adheres to time clock procedures safety rules and regulations equipment operation equipment maintenance and proper installation procedures in accordance with company training procedures.
- Demonstrates and educates the end user (homeowner) on the proper use of the installed shade products.
- Immediately report any issues on jobsite to your supervisor for guidance on what action is needed to proceed with installation.
