Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack
ScottishPower HQ Glasgow
Salary: 58-72K plus (Up to 15% bonus & Single Healthcare)

As a Senior Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining complex web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with React Python and PostgreSQL along with a strong understanding of best practices in software development.
What youll be doing
Design develop and maintain web applications using React Python and PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with product managers UX/UI designers and other developers to create robust scalable and secure applications.
Write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot debug and resolve software defects and issues.
Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our products and processes.
Maintaining security standards in code.
What youll bring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in full stack development as a Senior Software Engineer
Strong proficiency in React Python and PostgreSQL.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Proficient in version control systems preferably Git.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker is a plus.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
