We announce the following ELEMENTARY TEACHING vacancy in the Rochester Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year.Internal applications will be accepted until 4:00pm July 2 2025.If necessary external applications will be accepted until filled.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

INSTRUCTIONAL INTERVENTIONIST

MCGREGOR ELEMTNARY1.0 FTE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in area of responsibility.
  • Bachelors degree with major in curricular area.
  • Masters degree in Education or curricular area appropriate to curricular support preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with at-risk students.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collecting and analyzing student achievement data.
  • Ability to collaborate with support team / district MTSS team to create interventions to improve student performance in designated content areas.
  • Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and the building learning consultant to identify at-risk students for intervention.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB GOAL:

To provide direct support to students who have been identified as Tier 2 or Tier 3 by the RCS Multi-Tier System of Support

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct instruction to students on their caseload students who are identified as Tier 2 or Tier 3 using the Rochester Community Schools MTSS Matrix.
  • Consults with the building TEAM process to identify students at-risk.
  • Evaluates students by conducting the appropriate diagnostic tests analyzing and interpreting results.
  • Develops and implements programs for students at-risk in identified content areas.
  • Collaborates with building learning consultant and district secondary MTSS coach to develop and coordinate intervention programs for students at-risk.
  • Willingness to attend professional development in areas as identified by building principal and/or RCS Curriculum Department.
  • Prepares student reports to inform learning consultant/classroom teacher of student progress.
  • Participate in district meetings with focus on MTSS.
  • Complete required grant compliance materials (i.e. tracking logs).
  • Performs other duties identified by the building administrator to support student achievement
