About the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing customer accounts generating sales through virtual outreach and ensuring efficient order processing. While primarily an office-based role occasional in-person meetings or on-site visits may be required to support customer relationships and business development within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication and responsive service
- Conduct outbound sales efforts via phone email and virtual meetings to generate quotes and close orders
- Enter sales orders accurately and ensure timely updates on product availability and lead times
- Support pricing of custom or specialty products in collaboration with management
- Document all sales activities and maintain detailed records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
- Handle returns credits and order modifications to resolve customer issues promptly
- Occasionally participate in in-person meetings client site visits or trade shows as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor technical or construction-related sales
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial products
- Understanding of budgeting forecasting and contract negotiation
