Job Description
JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week) 12 months per year Non-Union position
Location: Willmar or Cosmos
Join Our Team: Help Strengthen Child Care in Our Communities! We are looking for a motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as a Child Care Programs Navigator. If you are passionate about supporting families and childcare providers this opportunity is for you!
WHAT YOULL DO:
Support Providers: Help current and future childcare providers with training mentoring and guidance - including FFN
LNL and licensed programs.
Recruit & Outreach: Spread the word and recruit providers using culturally appropriate strategies and materials.
Build Connections: Work with local and state partners to strengthen support networks.
Navigate Systems: Guide providers through licensing business setup and access to programs like Parent Aware and
CCAP.
Document & Evaluate: Keep records track progress and use data to inform decisions and reporting.
Facilitate Community: Organize events listening sessions and peer learning opportunities for families and providers.
SKILLS TO WOW US:
You know how child care works including FFN/LNL and DHS rules.
You communicate well with people fromdifferent backgrounds.
You stay organized and can juggle tasks andpartnerships.
You lead groups support providers and solve problems creatively.
You care about fairness and use data to help all families and providers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
25 hours of early childhood training or willing to complete after hire.
Preferred: Associate or Bachelors in Child Development
One year experience with children ages 0-5.
