Your Opportunity
The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring a Security Specialist at Fort Meade MD. Youll play a critical role in supporting Air Combat Commands Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission.

What Youll Do:
- Partner with the Personnel Security Program Manager to create and refine local clearance procedures
- Oversee SCI indoctrination tracking and reporting for military and civilian staff
- Liaise with NSAs Military Affairs Desk Office for AF vetting and approvals
- Coordinate AFOSI Counter-Intelligence polygraph exams renewals and retakes
- Process AFOSI Form 158s resolve security concerns and route findings appropriately
- Conduct SCI prescreen interviews and deliver recommendations per Air Force directives
- Maintain comprehensive security files and clearance documentation
- Review background information for adverse indicators; draft summaries of misrepresentations
- Advise commanders on establishing Security Information Files (SIF) and manage SIF lifecycle
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelors degree plus 6 years of relevant experience (Additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A Masters degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Deep knowledge of security concepts criteria and best practices
- Strong analytical skills to design and evaluate security programs
- Excellent written and verbal communicationclear concise and accurate
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- Experience supporting ACC ISR operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63700.00 - $115150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
