Job Description

JOB GOAL:

To design implement manage and troubleshoot complex network systems. This role involves maintaining network security optimizing performance and ensuring the reliability of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration security protocols and enterprise-level troubleshooting.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve (12) month (245 days) contracts Salary Schedule: Range plus Benefits Package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon education and experience.FLSA: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. BS degree in computer science Microsoft Certified Dell Certified A Certified Network Certified or other field preferred or equivalent experience.
  2. At least five (5) years experience in configuring troubleshooting and maintaining PCs in a Microsoft networked environment.
  3. Experience in supporting a Microsoft Windows network.
  4. Experience in supporting a switched network environment.
  5. Knowledge of Local Area Networks and skills in troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  6. Proficiency with common office productivity software relational databases and school administration software.
  7. Demonstrated experience as an independent worker and team player.
  8. Possess strong logical and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position.

  1. Provide exemplary technical leadership for administration of IT applications and client technologies including but not limited to the following: Workstations (desktops laptops chromebooks etc.);Tablets (iPADs Galaxy Tab Kindle Nooks etc.); Operating systems such as Windows 7 10 Macintosh IOS devices; Microsoft Office and productivity tools; Audio Visual and Web Conferencing; KACE imaging software; JAMF mobile device management; Backup and Recoveries for client devices; Smartboard Technology; Wireless Infrastructure; Network Copiers & Printers; Cisco Switches; Mitel desktop phone connectivity; Virus and Malware management; Web based software applications and desktop software applications; Maintain assigned multiple sites with an emphasis administrators teachers and school student support.
  2. Monitor network performance and security implementing improvements as needed.
  3. Conduct advanced troubleshooting to resolve network issues efficiently.
  4. Maintain and upgrade network hardware and software to ensure optimal functionality.
  5. Work closely with IT teams to support enterprise applications and cloud services.
  6. Document network configurations policies and procedures.
  7. Research and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and security.
  8. Lead network-related projects and collaborate with other IT staff.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  10. Works to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.
  11. Attends training in order to gain the knowledge necessary to improve job skills and performance.
  12. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Mental Functions Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk go up and down stairs operate foot and hand controls use a telephone and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound near and far vision depth perception handling and working with educational materials and/or objects and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and to be physically present and at assigned work with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year. Additional technical skills knowledge and abilities may be recommended by immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
