r77 is supporting a growing finech company based in Malta As part of their continued growth the company is looking to strengthen their Operations Team by hiring Operations Officers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and agile financial services firm during an exciting stage of expansion.
Role Overview
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other key departments helping to manage and improve the organisations operational and payment workflows. Your day-today will focus on client onboarding transaction support payment processing and enhancing the overall client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the client onboarding process liaising with Compliance for due diligence reviews
- Ensure client accounts (business and individual) are set up accurately in the core system
- Conduct initial documentation checks and ensure regulatory standards are met
- Process daily payments through internal and third-party systems
- Liaise with banking partners to resolve payment-related queries
- Maintain client and product configurations within the core platform
- Act as a first point of contact for client queries escalating where needed
- Perform daily transaction monitoring as part of the first line of AML/CFT defence
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams on mitigating operational risks
- Draft and update operational policies procedures and internal documentation
- Manage and update the client-facing knowledge base
- Support ad-hoc tasks and initiatives led by the COO
- Execute manual payment transactions in accordance with internal procedures
- Identify and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency
What Were Looking For
- 2 years of experience in a similar operations role within financial services
- Background in an EMI payment provider bank or forex company is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with various payment types and regulatory standards (AML/CFT)
- Higher education in Finance Banking or related fields is an asset
- Strong command of English both written and verbal
- A proactive detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of SWIFT and other financial systems is a plus
- Committed to high ethical standards and operational excellence
