Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School in the Lasallian tradition located in Castle Hill NSW. The College has an enrolment of approximately 2250 students with boys in Years 7 to 10 and a co-educational setting in Years 11 and 12. Assistant Academic Head of Mathematics

Due to an internal promotion the College seeks to appoint an innovative and passionate Assistant Academic Head of Mathematics to join our highly successful supportive and collegial team.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of:
Assist the Academic Head in leading and shaping teaching and learning across the Mathematics faculty
Model high-quality pedagogy as an experienced Mathematics practitioner (Stages 46) inspiring students and staff to achieve their personal best
Teach Mathematics across Stages 46 with significant expertise in Advanced and Extension Mathematics (experience essential)
Plan develop and deliver engaging and academically rigorous Maths lessons that cater to diverse student needs and support effective teaching and curriculum implementation
Support curriculum planning and assessment aligned with NESA standards and the Colleges Learning Framework
Foster a safe supportive and aspirational learning environment prioritising student wellbeing and development
Mentor and guide staff through professional learning opportunities aligned with both student needs and faculty growth contributing to a dynamic and engaged professional learning community
Work collaboratively with the faculty to promote a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement
Oversee the implementation of new syllabi and strategic educational initiatives within the department
Lead the management of student behaviour and maintain an educational environment that promotes engagement and growth
Contribute to the academic excellence and pastoral care of our students.

The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years renewable by mutual agreement.
