What will you do
- Complete the analysis and documentation required for new or increased credit transactions advise on complex annual renewals and aid Commercial Account Managers with portfolio management and compliance support
- Provide quality business analysis and credit advice through presentation options that clearly articulate advantages and benefits to the client
- Demonstrate RBCs capability to provide creative financial solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed needs
- Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration by coaching mentoring and assisting colleagues to meet the needs of all clients
- Exercise due diligence in recommending credit applications working in collaboration with Risk Management especially in supporting risk processes and guidelines
What do you need to succeed
Must-have
- Proven superior analytical and technical Commercial credit skills and thrive in supporting sales colleagues in new client acquisition and revenue growth through superior portfolio quality
- Minimum 3 years experience in commercial lending in a financial institution; previous experience may include roles as the Group Risk Manager CommercialAccount Manager or Commercial Credit Advisor & Analyst
- Strong business and financial acumen and are analytical and articulate about both subjects
- Strong organizational skills ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting time sensitive deadlines
- Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e. web based meetingssocial media digital banking and mobile applications)
- Minimum post-secondary diploma/degree ideally in Commerce Business Administration or related experience
Nice-to-have
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Specialized industry expertise in a past role (Agriculture)
- Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
