Introduction to the job

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster cheaper more energy-efficient microchips. We design develop integrate market and service these advanced machines which enable our customers - the worlds leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips which in turn leads to smaller more powerful consumer electronics.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Professional to oversee and ensure the implementation of comprehensive safety programs across our construction and electrical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and electrical safety and extensive knowledge of OSHA NFPA state and federal regulatory standards.

Our headquarters are in Veldhoven the Netherlands and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices inChandler Arizona San Jose and San Diego California Wilton Connecticut and Hillsboro Oregon.

Role and responsibilities

Safety Program Management: Develop implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA NFPA 70E and other applicable state and federal regulations. Incident Investigation: Investigate and report on incidents near misses and safety violations; recommend corrective actions. Liaise with project managers site supervisors and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety. Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and prepare reports for internal and external audits. Assist in preparing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety documentation for project approvals. Stay current with updates to safety laws regulations and best practices. Emergency Response Planning: Collaborate with local management to prepare and maintain site-level emergency response plans. Communicate with safety-related and environmental agencies before during and after emergencies. Hazardous Waste Management: Manage hazardous waste including scheduling training and compliance with local state and federal regulations. Conduct safety audits and inspections on a daily weekly and quarterly basis. Training and Development: Deliver safety training on various topics including working at heights lockout/tagout and new EHS initiatives. Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) assessment and implementation. ISO Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.

Education and experience

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or related field (preferred).

• 2 years of experience in construction and electrical safety roles.

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA NFPA and other local/state/federal regulations.

• Certifications such as CSP CHST OSHA 30/OSHA 510 NFPA 70E or First Aid/CPR are highly desirable

Other information

• This position is located on-site in San Jose California. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork collaboration and innovation.
