SG2 Recruiting in partnership with Identity Strategy Partners is seeking a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Policy Staff Officer (Level 1)
Location: On-site in the National Capital Region (Pentagon Mark Center or other DoD facilities)
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with eligibility for access to Special Access Programs (SAPs)
Salary: $120000 $125000 annually
Benefits: Retirement plan federal holidays 40 hours of PTO
About the Role
This role supports the Sensitive Activities and Special Programs (SASP) Office under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) which oversees intelligence counterintelligence law enforcement and security matters across the Department of Defense.
As a SOF Policy Staff Officer (Level 1) you will contribute to the oversight coordination and policy development for highly sensitive intelligence activities. Youll play a key role in supporting senior DoD leadership with timely information and policy recommendations related to Special Operations counterterrorism and irregular warfare efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide policy and operational support for sensitive intelligence programs.
Assist in the development coordination and revision of policy for sensitive activities.
Gather synthesize and prepare background materials and briefings for DoD senior leaders.
Support strategic planning and decision-making processes related to special operations and intelligence policy.
Contribute to short-notice taskings and fast-paced decision environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree
Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for SAP access
14 years of experience with SOF and/or clandestine operations
14 years of experience developing or advising on policy for sensitive operations
Contract Details
Six-month base period with four optional one-year extensions
Full-time in-person work (ad-hoc telework with prior approval)
