Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our vibrant team in Bangalore. This full-time role requires overseeing engineering initiatives and driving innovation in line with Jios strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and leadership skills along with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Significant experience as a data engineer with expertise in managing and analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications (Mandatory skill).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms showcasing the ability to manage and deploy scalable infrastructure (Mandatory skill).
- Demonstrated leadership skills capable of guiding and empowering engineering teams to achieve common goals.
- Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of current engineering practices and technologies.
- Proven track record of successful team building and talent management fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with Azure involving cloud services and solutions within an enterprise context.
- Excellent communication skills facilitating clear and effective collaboration across different departments and stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers providing technical direction and mentorship to achieve project objectives.
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable high-performance systems aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering documentation ensuring clarity and precision.
- Manage project timelines resource allocation and deliverables ensuring on-time and within-budget completion of projects.
- Identify and address engineering challenges finding innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making in relation to technological advancements and industry trends.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging creativity and innovation within the engineering team.
