Job Description

Description

The Service & Team:

Early Help is about identifying problems at an early stage and providing purposeful and effective help as soon as possible once they have been identified working with families to solve those problems before they get out of hand.

The Role:

Family workers within the Early Help team work with families to support with issues such as helping to understand and change unwanted behaviours; helping parents and children to recognise and manage their emotions; parenting skills/routines and boundaries; and supporting families to avoid crisis.

Family workers work closely with partner agencies such as health education Police as well as specialist services to ensure that children and families can thrive.

Work is completed in family homes family hubs schools and in the community.

This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern:

Full time hours 37 hours per week Monday Friday. Flexible working can be available once probationary period is successfully completed.

A degree or equivalent in Health & Social Care or education or similar.
