Your Opportunity

Following a recent review of our Information Technology strategy and operating model our focus is on building the structure skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story. We are now seeking applications for the newly created position of Manager IT Portfolio & Projects.

This is a stand-alone role with no direct reports however you are responsible for the management of our IT project portfolio budget and supplier agreements. Reporting to the Head of Information Technology you will lead the development and implementation of project governance frameworks support financial oversight and ensure the successful delivery of strategic IT initiatives.

Key accountabilities include:

  • IT Project Management: Drive the development and enhancement of IT project management frameworks and tools. Lead strategic project delivery from planning to closure ensuring alignment with governance and maintaining a centralised view of initiatives. Manage project intake prioritisation and reporting while tracking performance and benefits.

  • IT Budgeting & Cost Management: Partner with key stakeholders on budgeting and cost tracking. Monitor expenditure analyse variances and maintain detailed financial records. Provide transparency to stakeholders and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.

  • Contract and Supplier Administration: Manage a comprehensive register of IT contracts service agreements and licenses. Monitor key dates renewals and compliance obligations and liaise with stakeholders to support negotiations and performance reviews. Act as a central point for vendor onboarding evaluations and relationship management.

Your Experience

The ideal person will enjoy working in a role that blends strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You will be passionate about digital transformation and working collaboratively to achieve

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business IT Project Management or a related discipline;
  • Expertise in project portfolio management IT governance or PMO support roles within complex environments;
  • Proven experience in IT financial management budgeting and cost tracking;
  • Excellent commercial experience managing contracts vendor agreements and procurement processes;
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project Jira ServiceNow) and Excel;
  • Exceptional analytical organisational and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively;
  • Relevant certificationsin project management methodologies PRINCE2 PMP MSP PMO-CP (desirable);
  • Working knowledgeof IT governance frameworks such as ITIL COBIT or similar (desirable); and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
