Job Description

Our centres are equipped with CCTV and we have a strict no mobile phone policy in all classrooms to support a safe and transparent environment. AMIGA Montessori is a rapidly growing family-run early childhood organisation committed to providing safe high-quality and child-centred education across Victoria and South Australia.

We are now seeking a confident and experienced Head of Quality Compliance & Child Safety to lead our organisations regulatory governance and safeguarding frameworks. This role will be responsible for shaping our internal systems to meetand exceedlegal ethical and educational standards while staying true to our Montessori values.

Whether your background is in education compliance or law this role offers a meaningful opportunity to drive quality and child safety across a growing network of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organisations Child Safe Standards strategy including monthly Child Safety Committee meetings
  • Oversee Assessment & Rating readiness and regulatory responses in line with NQF and NQS
  • Chair CCYP Committee and manage the full lifecycle of any reportable conduct or child protection matters
  • Conduct internal audits mock visits investigations and root cause analyses to manage quality and compliance risk
  • Ensure consistency and quality in Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) across all services
  • Maintain all organisational policies procedures and governance documentation
  • Deliver targeted training to leaders on topics such as legislation mandatory reporting and WHS compliance

About You:

  • Background in education law compliance or a regulatory authority
  • Strong understanding of governance risk and child protection obligations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft policies and formal reports
  • Analytical and structured mindset with high attention to detail
  • Assertive and professional able to confidently guide centre leadership teams through compliance processes
  • Comfortable working independently and across multiple sites

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with DET CCYP and National Quality Framework processes
  • Experience conducting investigations or managing reportable conduct matters
  • Understanding of WHS legislation and risk mitigation strategies
  • Previous work in legal practice regulatory investigations or child safety roles
