About the role
As an Accounts Officer you will work with the Financial Accountant to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. This role could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
Accounts payable and receivable processing and reporting
General ledger journal processing
Intercompany and bank reconciliations
Cash handling and reconciliations
Processing debit / credit card acquittals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Managing general accounts enquiries
To be on the forefront of this opportunity you will have
Experience using financial systems and completing reconciliations
Competent in the use and application of Excel and Google Sheets
Ability to work collaboratively in a team where boundaries responsibilities and requirements are constantly changing
Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills ability to communicate and relate to people at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential requirements of the role
Minimum 1 year of Accounting Experience preferably in Accounts Payable
An Australian Qualification Framework recognised Bachelors degree in Accounting or related discipline
A current NSW Drivers licence
Willingness to undergo National Criminal Record Check
The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
