Description

We are actively seeking to engage Game Development Officers with a particular focus on individuals who have experience in working with younger children and/or are wanting to pick up weekend casual work. Football knowledge is not essential for this role.Successful candidates will be engaged to commence work in school Term 3.

Key Responsibilities:

The nature of the Game Development Officer role is diverse and works across multiple areas within WA Football with the major aim to grow and promote football participation. Duties of this specific role may include:

Football Fundamentals - Weekday/Weekend Work

  • Coordinating and delivery of the program
  • Working with ages 2-5 on the fundamentalsof movement
  • No AFL background required (you will be provided training to assist in developing Football knowledge as required)
  • Working with parents
  • It is intended that coach to participant ratios will remain low for the Football Fundamentals program

As these roles are casual there is also flexibility to pick up a combination of weekday and weekend work within other AFL programs.

  • A self-motivator who achieves results autonomously or via teamwork (E)
  • Good customer relationships/ communications (E)
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills (E)
  • WWC Card or willingness to obtain (E)
  • National Police Clearance (E)
  • Drivers License and/orreliable transport and willingness to travel (E)
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours (E)
  • First Aid Certificate (E) or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours (E)

Desirable selection criteria include:

  • Anunderstanding of the WA Football structure and system (D)
  • Understanding of participation pathways in community sport (D)
  • Computer literacy (D)

This will be followed by a second round of interviews which will be held in a group face-to-face setting and will include some practical FMS development and additional induction content.
