Job Description
Are you passionate about data architecture and solving real-world problems with modern Big Data technologies
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Solution Architect to join our team. This professional will work closely with clients to understand their business needs architect solutions and implement modern Big Data platform technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business goals data architecture and technical requirements
- Design end-to-end solutions that leverage Starburst products to address customer needs including data access analytics and performance optimization
- Develop architectural diagrams technical specifications and implementation plans for customer projects
- Lead the implementation and deployment of Starburst solutions working closely with customer teams and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers on using Starburst products effectively
- Work with partners to train and upskill external personnel on Starburst Products
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create resources best practices and delivery processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and operation
- Stay current on industry trends emerging technologies and data management best practices
Required Experience & Knowledge:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Professional experience in technical roles such as solution architect data engineer or software engineer
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles including data modeling data integration and data warehousing
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with distributed query engines (e.g. Presto Trino Apache Spark)
- Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking for technical and business challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) is a plus
- Experience with open-source technologies and/or contributions to the open-source community is a plus
- Experience delivering technical training internally or externally is a plus
- Fluent English is required for daily communication with international clients and teams

- This is a client-facing hands-on role with high impact on customer success
