Job Role
We are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced site manager to oversee and manage high quality fit out and construction project from inception to completion. You will be responsible for day-to-day site operations ensuring projects are delivered safely on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
To be successful as a site manager you should be detail-oriented and knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations. Ultimately an outstanding site manager should be able to interpret building plans as well as demonstrate exceptional leadership communication attention to detail and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to perform first aid in emergencies
Ideally with 5 years of experience in the industry working on projects ranging from 50k - 5m.
Role and Responsibilities- Oversee all on-site activities and ensure work is carried out in accordance with design specifications health and safety standards and quality benchmarks
- Supervising and instructing subcontractors trade and site staff ensuring coordinated and efficient execution of tasks.
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimise work-related accidents and injuries.
- Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
- Maintaining an accurate record of employee/sub-contractor attendance.
- Evaluating the performance of installation employees and sub-contractors and instituting corrective measures as needed.
- Monitor and report on progress risks and issues to senior project managers or stakeholders
- Conduct regular site inspections quality checks and safety audits.
- Liaise with clients consultants and suppliers to ensure alignment and resolve any site-related issues promptly.
- Manage site logistics including deliveries storage and waste disposal.
- Prepare daily/weekly site reports including progress photos updates and safety records.
- Ensure accurate documentation including site diaries variations snag lists and handover pack
- Create and maintain detailed site programmes coordinating schedules and sequencing of works
- Analysing blueprints to ensure that installation projects meet design safety and budget specifications.
- Recommending changes to operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
Requirements
Skills:- Temporary Works experience
- Completion of a construction related post-secondary education training program.
- Proven experience working as a site manager.
- CPR and first aid certifications.
- Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- The ability to interpret construction drawings.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Committed to accuracy and attention detail getting it right first time.
- Ability to understand the client s perspective and needs.
- Be able to liaise and communicate effective with the client and all stakeholders.
- Talent for influencing client management.
- Able to work well under your own initiative.
- Friendly approachable and articulate.
- Must be able to work as part of a small close and productive team.
- Ideally at least 5 years experience in a similar or equivalent role.
