Job Description

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: with the New Bedford Student Information Management System. and run the scheduling process for familiar with application programs such as Access Excel and or revises user training manuals and procedures. with programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs.6. Gathers data for Circuit Breaker claims from several sources. This includes data for In-District students (IEP Service Grid) Out-of-District student tuitions (OOD Tuitions paid) and Out-of-District student transportation costs (Broken down by student facility route and month). Processes CB data in accord with complex CB guidelines. Validates CB data by comparing claims to actual services provided / tuitions paid / bussing provided to ensure accuracy and completeness. Liaisons with DESE CB team Bookkeeping Dept. bus companies and clerical staff.7. Gathers data for Medicaid Billing. Process Medicaid data and submits data to Medicaid Billing vendor. Liaisons with Medicaid Billing vendor.8. Uses the New Bedford Student Information Management System. (Currently Aspen) to correct . student data and extract data for state and federal reporting.9. Assist with DESE SIMS data submissions. Verify . student DOE codes for accuracy.10. Gather data for DESE Indicator submissions. (Indicator 11 Indicator 7).11. Assist with gathering data for DESE January 1st School Attending Children report if needed.12. Create reports on-demand for . staff as needed using existing Aspen and in-house databases.13. Use Microsoft Office (Word Excel Access PowerPoint Outlook) extensively in day to day tasks. Create solutions to replace or augment manual processes using Microsoft Office Applications.14. Use Google Apps (Docs Sheets etc) in day to day tasks. Use Google Apps to create sharable solutions to replace or augment manual processes.15. Utilize proper communication skills to interact with administrators and staff district-wide.16. Answers evaluates and prioritizes incoming telephone e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from staff experiencing problems with Aspen Google Office and other technical and procedural issues.17. Converse effectively with staff to diagnose issue and lead user to staff on software (Aspen Google Office etc) as times diagnose and correct minor computer hardware : and/or Experience: High School Diploma required and experience with SIMS (Student Information Management System) Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills required including writing for reports making presentations and instructing. Skills: Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid Skills: Working knowledge of New Bedfords Student Management System (currently Aspen) or equivalent. Substantial experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps Suite. Ability to write software and create solutions in a modern SQL database or programming language. (ie MS Access MS SQL Server Python VB Java Javascript MySQL or similar.) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:This is a Non-Union 12 months position Salary: $90000-$100000 (based on experience)
