You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMidland University a private faith-based liberal arts university in Fremont Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha) is accepting applications for the Graduate Assistant - Sports Information Specialist position. This position will be offered within our graduate assistant structure requiring admission to the Universitys Master of Education Master of Science Learning and Talent Development Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership or Master of Business Administration programs. The candidate will write game meet and event summaries create press releases produce athletics publications stat keeping and other tasks and duties. The position offers tuition remission from the University and may include a monthly stipend and an on-campus meal plan.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Representing Midland University
-Writing/Editing and meeting deadlines
-Graphic design
-Statistics and record-keeping
-Social media
-Website maintenance
-Video production
Minimum Requirements:
-A bachelors degree (English Communications Sports Management or similar preferred)
-Good organizational skills
-Ability to multitask
-Good interpersonal communication skills
-A minimum of one semester of demonstrable previous experience in an SID office setting
Additional Desired Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a writer journalist yearbook editor or similar
-Adobe Creative Suite software experience
-Video filming and editing experience
-Experience with graphic/publication design using Photoshop and InDesign
-StatCrew and/or DakStats software experience
