Job Description

CoHS Admissions Recruiter
JOB SUMMARY
The College of Health Sciences Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting new students locally state-wide and regionally through in person and virtual channels including delivery of presentations to undergraduate college students pre-health classes clubs etc. which will require travel. The CoHS Admissions Recruiter will recruit primarily for the ACHE Schools of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Occasional weekends and evening events will be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Make decisions and determinations related to student recruitment in consultation with the CoHS admissions director and coordinator including but not limited to identifying planning and targeting the proper venues and institutions to reach and yield the best qualified student applicants for the appropriate program.
  • Make annual updates to the ACHE CoHS admissions communication and recruitment plan.
  • Be innovative in creating new recruitment methods and processes to help recruit the best students to fit the ACHE mission and the Schools of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
  • Use professional judgment to determine the greatest need for types of recruitment events and locations to visit while managing the calendar of recruitment engagements and making travel arrangements in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Assist with the OT and PT admissions email inboxes and reply in a timely manner.
  • Advise prospective applicants on all CoHS program admission requirements and processes.
  • Create presentations graphics and other visual representations of ACHE to promote the OT and PT programs at recruitment events.
  • Present to undergraduate college students pre-health classes clubs and other interested groups while visiting other college campuses and when hosting guests at ACHE.
  • Collaborate with CoHS Admissions Coordinator to manage the selection order and inventory of promotional items used for admissions and recruitment events.
  • Represent ACHE OT and PT programs at select graduate/professional school fairs and job/ career fairs for recruitment purposes.
  • Maintain up-to-date database of contacts recruiting visits campus tours and event guests for recruitment planning and reports.
  • Build positive relationships with key contacts at institutions of higher learning within the service area and facilitate and nurture these relationships.
  • Assist with day-to-day CoHS admissions-related functions and provide campus tours to guests when on campus.
  • Assist with OT and PT program applicant interviews student orientation check-in and other events as assigned.
  • Work with Student Information System (SIS) Constituent Relationship Management system (CRM) and other admissions-related systems.
  • Interact effectively as a member of a team work collaboratively with other ACHE departments supervisors and support staff and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Know and abide by FERPA regulations protecting the privacy of individual application records.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a productive and positive group member and team player.
  • Become and remain knowledgeable on all ACHE degree programs and stay prepared to discuss another program with an inquiry if needed.
  • Demonstrate the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior in all aspects of personal and professional actions and performance.
  • Commit to the highest level of ethical behavior and refrain from conflict of interest or the perception thereof representing ACHE in a highly ethical manner in all recruitment activities on and off campus.
  • Provide service to the college community and students through serving on various committees and providing leadership mentorship and expertise to students as needed.
  • Participate in professional organizations or groups as assigned by the Executive Director of Admissions CoHS
  • Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to assist the college in fulfilling its mission and vision through administrative duties and community service and/or perform special duties as assigned.
  • Advance the prestige of ACHE through advancement of its mission and vision.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience creating and giving presentations to small and large groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in admissions recruitment marketing public relations event planning leadership in student activities or other related higher education field.
  • Experience creating presentations with Canva software Microsoft PowerPoint etc.
  • Previous admissions experience at a health professions college or medical school.
Required knowledge skills and abilities
  • Ability to travel and to represent the college using personal vehicle.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license and proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to prepare and present information to small and large groups.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work in a high-volume fast-paced goal-oriented atmosphere both independently and as part of a unified team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Access Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Display professionalism for the college in all communication and interaction.

  • May be exposed to short intermittent and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
  • May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include but not limited to pens pencils calculators computer keyboards telephone etc.
  • May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices conference rooms and on occasion to off-campus sites to attend meetings conferences workshops seminars etc.
  • May require significant travel or work away from campus.
  • Requires attendance at events representing ACHE both within as well as outside of the college setting.
  • Frequently required to work at a desk conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
  • Frequently required to see for purposes of reading matter.
  • Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
  • Occasionally required to lift items in a normal office environment.
  • Frequently required to operate office and presentation equipment.
