Description
The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech is responsible for providing instruction assessment follow-up and on call services to patients using respiratory equipment such as apnea monitors oxygen etc. in the home setting. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech provides care for patients in the following groups: infant children adolescent adult and geriatric. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech is also responsible for occasionally delivering and providing instruction to customers receiving other items of durable medical equipment. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech also participates in formal as well as informal marketing of all products and services provided by KeyC are Medical.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Required Current or temporary nursing license in ND or compact nursing licensure OR must be Certified Respiratory Therapist by NBRC and licensed in ND. Current ND or other state drivers license required. Educational Requirements Nursing or CRT program as evidenced by licensure. Experience Requirements None Special Skills or Training Requirements Ability to apply principles of learning to age specific group. Ability to apply principles of pathophysiology and treatment in areas of expertise to age specific group. Good understanding of medical guidelines for home oxygen use and diseases relating to respiratory care preferred. Minimum of ten hours of continuing education credits required annually per respiratory requirements.
