The Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) team in the Department for People Operations Success and Opportunity is currently seeking a hourly Graduate Assistant (GA) for the Fall 2025 semester through the Spring 2026 semester contingent upon continued funding and performance. Work schedule: 20 hours per week (Required Mondays 8:00am 2:00pm Fridays 10:00am 2:00pm remaining hours flexible during the normal work week to align with class schedule needs) Work location: Building 127 210 E. 1st St. Greenville NC 27858 JOB DESCRIPTION : The GA will be responsible for assisting the L&OD team with various learning and organizational development programs and projects. The L&OD Graduate Assistant duties include: Assist with design and delivery of specialized L&OD program including New Employee Orientation the Pirate Readiness Enhancement Program and other projects. Completes I-9 verification via HireRight form completions and policy acknowledgments via DocuSign with new hires; Helps resolve basic learning management system (Cornerstone) issues in response to help desk tickets including registrations troubleshooting and record keeping; Tracks and records training program attendance and completions Creates modifies and improves electronic and hard copy documents presentations and communications; Assists with State Service Award processing distribution and customer service for the Universitys service award program Supports planning and execution of live events including the Treasured Pirate and State Service Award ceremony Prints sorts organizes and prepares materials for live hybrid and remote training and orientation sessions; Other duties within the Employee Well-Being & Success unit as assigned. The individual selected for this position must maintain a professional level of confidentiality with regards to personally identifiable information and university employee records. The L&OD GA should also possess strong communication skills including public speaking presentations and written media. Skills in learning management systems (such as Cornerstone) or online learning systems (such as LinkedIn Learning) as well as business document systems (DocuSign) and communication creation are preferred.
