Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor residential and professional applications. We are on a growth journey now looking for a Project Manager for Refrigeration Development area.
In the Sub-Segment Cooling Compartment & Power Inverter we implement exciting projects for leading OEMs in the on- and off-highway vehicle sectors. Together with our comprehensive OEM team we take responsibility for developing innovative premium products.
The Refrigeration Project Manager in this sub-segment forms the technical interface between OEM-related product development projects and the technical departments within the Dometic Group.
The main task of the vacant position is the economic implementation of new projects in the sub-segment. Current projects are to remain profitable in the long term and be expanded by stabilizing customer relationships and improving customer satisfaction.
As a Refrigeration Project Manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating development projects in the field of active and passive cooling (and heating).
Another task of the Refrigeration Project Manager is to develop in-house production capacities in line with automotive standards (e.g. IATF 16949) support make-or-buy decisions and identify continuous opportunities for improving work processes.
In addition the Project Manager Refrigeration is responsible for controlling the start of series production supporting projects throughout their life cycle and managing relevant projects such as component obsolescence and spare parts availability.
Your main responsibilities
- Management and coordination of development projects in the field of active and passive cooling (and heating)
- Implementation of new projects support for ongoing projects over their entire life cycle
- Development of own production capacities in accordance with automotive standards
- Support for make-or-buy decisions
- Technical coordination with internal interfaces as well as customers and suppliers
