Job Description

An Opportunity

Luther College seeks to appoint an innovative and passionate Head of Library & Learning Commons commencing in 2026. This is an ongoing full-time teaching position with a 3-year tenure for the position of responsibility as Head of Library & Learning Commons. You will receive a time and salary allowance for the position of responsibility in addition to a full-time salary (commensurate with experience).

The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of contemporary library services and digital and information literacy as well as a commitment to fostering a culture of reading and research. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead a dynamic learning space that supports inquiry-based learning academic integrity and student wellbeing.

A sound knowledge of curriculum and emerging technologies is essential along with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate across learning areas. Experience in student centred pedagogies including the integration of information and digital literacy will be highly regarded.
