Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Engineers/Maintenance II is to provide preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public spaces and for maintaining the physical structure in good working condition.
Work Performed:
The Engineers/Maintenance II will be tasked with the following duties responsibilities and assignments:
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g. room care).
- Complete work orders from guests and hotel associates and record in log
- Checks electrical systems such as air conditioning controls television sets lighting systems and make major repairs and/or replacement.
- Make routine repairs on all hotel equipment including small appliances kitchen equipment laundry equipment boilers pool equipment HVAC hand and power tools and general plumbing systems such as pipelines toilets and sinks
- Service the hotels pool including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets tables chairs doors windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.
- Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
- Works on special projects as assigned by the Chief of Engineering and or Supervisor
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications:
Preferred Prior Experience:
5 years prior maintenance experience
Preferred Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Required Licenses/ Certification:
Certification or license required (HVAC Electrical Plumbing General Contracting) (Or eligible to obtain license within the first year of employment)
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required (or eligible to obtain License within the first year of employment)
Physical:
Ability to lift pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to bend and squat repeatedly
Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
Other:
Painting / Wallcovering experience required
Flexible to working days early mornings evenings nights weekends and holidays.
