Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend/API Automation Engineer to join our Department. This role involves developing and automating comprehensive test strategies plans and test cases for complex backend payment systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments. Your expertise in backend testing and payment systems will directly impact the quality of our services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test strategies and cases for backend payment systems using Python PyTest Java or similar languages.
Automate API and unit tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and seamless deployments.
Collaborate with development teams to identify areas for automation and improve testing processes.
Work closely with the infrastructure team to manage API testing in cloud environments particularly AWS.
Design and implement tests for APIs message queues lambda functions and payment systems.
Analyze and diagnose API issues related to HTTP protocols AWS log analysis and other backend services.
Contribute to maintaining best practices for testing automating and deploying backend solutions.
Required Qualifications
Over 6 years of experience in backend/API testing particularly within a payment system environment.
Proficiency in backend development languages such as Python PyTest Java or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of API protocols (HTTP RESTful APIs etc. and payment systems.
Experience with cloud platforms specifically AWS services and managing log analysis.
Solid knowledge of message queues lambda functions and backend testing frameworks.
Expertise in automating unit tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with payment system testing is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and cloud platforms (AWS).
Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and how they integrate with backend systems.
Experience with API security testing and validation.
