Job Description Summary
Instruct students in College Success & Study Skills and College Transfer Success classes according to the NCCCS stated curriculum for ACA 115 and ACA 122. Daytime & evening face-to-face & hybrid class offerings include the Asheville Madison and Woodfin campuses. Course offerings may also include high school/dual enrolled students (9-12 grades) or be conducted at partner high schools.
Duties
The commitment by instructional personnel includes all professional responsibilities within the role of an instructor which may include but are not limited to: 1. Instructional preparation and presentation. 2. Timely and accurate record keeping and reporting of attendance and grades. 3. LMS (Moodle) proficiency. 3. Student academic consultations and assistance. 4. Other class-related activities which may be necessary outside of scheduled class hours.
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelors degree for ACA 115 or Masters degree for ACA 122
Preferred Qualifications
1. One year successful teaching experience ideally at A-B Tech Community College and/or in the NCCCS . 2. Thorough knowledge of the NCCCS and ABTCC . 3. Working knowledge of Moodle LMS and Microsoft Office. 4. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse populations. 5. Demonstrated ability to motivate college and high school students.
