About the Role

Do you have the drive and passion to remove barriers and improve services to deliver better health and wellbeing outcomes for Leicestershire people If so we have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who can lead work at a strategic level encourage motivate and inspire in the development of Leicestershire County Councils commissioning strategy priorities for adults of all ages and shape the market for these services.

The post holders will develop innovative co-produced commissioning solutions using a problem-solving and evidence-based approach. Alongside other lead commissioners the successful candidates will be involved in a range of work that may span a variety of disciplines and serve people with different types of adult social care needs.

In this role you will lead the identification driving and implementation of opportunities to transform services through strategic commissioning. This role is central to the effective efficient and timely delivery of high-quality care and support to the residents of Leicestershire. These posts require individuals who can multi-task and manage a range of complex relationships drive change and ensure that commissioning decisions are evidence-based and financially sound.

About You

The successful candidates will have a background in a senior or strategic role in social care or health alongside:

  • A strong track record of partnership working in a complex multi-agency environment.
  • An understanding of the current health and social care agenda particularly in relation to the provision of services for adults.
  • Experience of engaging people and key stakeholders in planning design and delivery of services or strategy development.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed research analytical and communication skills in written and verbal formats including the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • An ability to respond to competing priorities and demanding timescales.
  • A degree or equivalent in the fields of social care health care planning or management orrelevant direct experience showing evidence of these degree-level skills.

You must have a deep understanding of and commitment to equality diversity and inclusionpersonally professionally and within the role context.
