What is the Opportunity

The Disaster Recovery and BCM team at RBC supports critical business processes by ensuring people processes and technology are prepared to recover from the unexpected. As a Senior Disaster Readiness Quality Manager you will be responsible for designing and managing the quality of disaster readiness recovery plans runbooks and playbooks. You will design a program of repeatable procedures to ensure the ongoing compliance of recovery documentation to RBC and regulatory standards. You will be part of an important program of continuous improvement that ensures the ongoing resilience of RBC as we become a digitally enabled relationship bank.

What will you do

  • Design a program for the quality assurance of disaster readiness documentation.

  • Collaborate with documentation contributors to help them understand the requirements.

  • Prepare detailed reports on defined objectives and risks for regulatory assessment.

  • Research and remain current on industry standards for business continuity and promote continuous improvement of the Disaster Readiness Program.

What do you need to succeed

Must have:

  • Quality Assurance experience.

  • Good experience with Disaster Recovery execution.

  • Senior level verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure including virtualization databases SAN and NAS storage messaging networking and Cloud.

Nice to have:

  • DRI International certification for Disaster Recovery.

  • Financial regulatory requirements for business continuity management.

  • Experience with ServiceNow.
