Job Description
SUMMARY
This position will advise coordinate and supervise High School athletic programs. As the Athletics Director this position is responsible for all campus athletics programs meeting the goals and objectives of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to provide students the opportunity to participate and excel in the athletic program of their choice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree
Current CPR w/AED Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Prior coaching experience at the high school level.
Experience developing organizing or maintaining athletic programs required
Knowledge of AIA rules and regulations.
Verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in Education Administration of a related field
English/Spanish Bilingual
Experience in public speaking
Experience developing student specific interventions fund raising and facilitating performing arts programs.
Experience and knowledge of student athletics to include NHSS.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Drivers License

COMMENTS
Location:Palo Verde High Magnet School-22nd & Kolb Area
Classification: Exempt Coordinator
FTE:1.0 8 hours per day
Work Calendar:12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
