About the Role:
In this Chicago-based hybrid role this Backend Software Engineer will work with an incredibly talented team to design and engineer our FinTech Platform. This individual will build and scale the back-end services that power Halos platform and systems and will have the ability to immediately impact Halos success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for back-end web development
- Develop test and maintain complex Python-based financial applications Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes and a variety of AWS tools and services.
- Collaborate with your team to design new and enhanced features.
- Successfully integrate data between various systems.
- Write and maintain documentation and ensure that product quality and performance SLAs are consistently met.
- Ensure the scalability and quality of all code.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related software engineering field
- 2 years engineering experience with at least 1 year working in Python
- Technical skills to include;
- Flask SQLAlchemy Jinja2
- Docker
- Git
- AWS
- SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL Redis)
- Bash
- Excited by new opportunities learn take ownership and collaborate on projects that involve various functions and levels of co-workers
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
