Reporting to the Mechanical EngineerBuilding Management the successful candidate will be required towork as part of a design team carrying out mechanical building services engineering duties and producing technical designs on a variety of building projects from inception to completion.

The Person
Fife Council is committed to creating employment and training opportunities for the young people of Fife. This role funded through the Workforce Youth Investment programme is just part of this commitment. These vacancies are restricted to applicants who currently live in Fife. You must also be aged between 16 and 24.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude who displays an aptitude to become a Mechanical Design Technician. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they can work well with others or on their own to deliver results. They should also have an interest in keeping up to date with changes in legislation regulation and practice which impact on their roles.
Applicants must be educated to SCQF level 7 which includes an HNC in an appropriate discipline or equivalent.
Before confirming to your appointment you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
