Job Description

Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center (VMESC) in Villa Maria PA as sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary seeks a dynamic and mission-driven President to lead the organization into its next chapter of spiritual renewal and educational outreach. The President serves as the chief executive officer responsible for advancing VMESCs mission preserving and promoting its Catholic identity and cultivating a collaborative and compassionate team environment rooted in the values of the Gospel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities are inclusive of the following:

  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership to fulfill VMESCs mission as a sacred space of peace and hospitality for all seeking spiritual growth healing and renewal.
  • Champion and safeguard the Catholic identity of the Center ensuring programs partnerships and practices reflect the values of the Catholic faith and the charism of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary.
  • Foster a strong team culture that encourages collaboration respect professional growth and shared commitment to VMESCs mission.
  • Oversee daily operation budget development and long-term strategic planning in coordination with the Board of Directors.
  • Works closely and meets regularly with the Chair of the Board to plan and set an agenda for the Board meetings communicating and anticipating the needs of the members of the Board and actively supports Board activities task forces and committees.
  • Collaborate with the CEO/CFO of Villa Maria Community Center on matters related to facility conditions and needed improvements space development and leases and works to implement required work and agreements to assure that clients receive high quality service.
  • Build relationships with religious and lay leaders donors local community members and national networks in spiritual formation and education.
  • Guide program development to ensure offerings are spiritually enriching theologically sound and responsive to the needs of diverse faith seekers.
  • Represent VMESC with integrity and enthusiasm in all internal and external communications.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or equivalent in theology ministry education administration or a related field.
  • Practicing Catholic with an understanding of Catholic teaching and spirituality.
  • Proven leadership experience in a faith-based or nonprofit organization.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary.
  • Excellent interpersonal team building and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written oral and social media methods of communication.
