Location: Wandsworth South West London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025

A primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a graduate to join their team as a Speech & Language Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone considering a career in speech therapy or communication support.
As a Speech & Language Support Assistant you will work with pupils who have speech language and communication needs (SLCN) helping them develop confidence vocabulary and social communication.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with speech and communication difficulties
- Delivering structured speech and language interventions
- Working closely with SENCOs and external therapists
- Helping pupils build vocabulary and sentence structure
- Supporting class teachers with inclusive strategies
Were looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in Linguistics Psychology or Speech Sciences
- An interest in speech therapy or SEN
- Clear confident communication skills
- Commitment to the full academic year
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees even with a UK Masters. Sponsorship is not available so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
