JOB SUMMARY

The 1st Shift Production Handler Coatings Removal works as a member of the Coatings Removal team adhering to productivity standards in accordance with company prescribed safety and quality.

1st Shift Rotating Schedule

06:00am - 02:30pm

Tuesday - Saturday

off Monday and Sunday

Monday Saturday

off Wednesday and Sunday

Wage

$16.00 per hour

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes product though chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations
  • Packages product for shipment
  • Rotates parts from the stripping process to the wash bay RP dry-off ovens and packing area
  • Power wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washer
  • Load hand baskets and rotate parts from one basket to the other
  • Complete wash logs
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensuring highest level of safety standards
  • Effectively timely and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees supervisors individuals from other organizations and customers
  • General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
  • Follow WHMIS MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
  • Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
  • Fostering a positive work environment
  • Regular and sustained attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience
  • 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience prior certification preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e. safety rules operating etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate well with Managers Supervisors employees contractors vendors customers and senior leaders
  • Basic mathematical aptitude (i.e. fractions decimals compute rate ration and percents interpret bar graphs etc.)
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of ISO OSHA and EPA regulations preferred
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Standing and /or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
  • Experience in the Coatings Removal industry a plus!

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

OTHER INFORMATION

Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat (non-weather) and loud noise levels.

This position can work various hours.
